The Skills Treasury

Share Your Skills

We are looking for people with technical, professional and trades skills to help TAFE Queensland deliver excellence in vocational education. The Skills Treasury is a register developed by TAFE Queensland for individuals with a keen interest in sharing their skills with students and apprentices.

The Skills Treasury provides a link between TAFE Queensland and individuals working in their chosen field who would like to 'give back' to the community or industry by sharing their skills and knowledge with others.

You may also like to register your interest in being a part of the Skills Treasury if you are an experienced vocational teacher returning from a break, or are currently teaching in TAFE and are looking to combine work with travel across Queensland.

The Skills Treasury initiative allows you to register your details with us, indicate the type of work you are interested in and tell us which of our 11 TAFE institutes and 2 Statutory TAFE institutes you would like to work at. Opportunities are also available to teach in Papua New Guinea, Samoa and Fiji by selecting the Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE (overseas trainer) option under desired places to work.

By registering on the Skills Treasury, TAFE Queensland institutes are able to access your details and match your skills with any available vacancies and opportunities. A TAFE institute representative may then contact you to confirm your details of availability and make arrangements for progressing your register of interest.

To be eligible to share your skills it is preferable that you have a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In addition, you will require a base grade vocational or equivalent qualification and:
