Evaluation Schedule

Under the department's Evaluation Strategy, provision is made for a four-year rolling Evaluation Schedule.

Each year the schedule is reviewed through consultation with stakeholders to identify the major projects or programs across all areas of the department. One or more of the following criterion identifies a project or program for consideration as to its appropriateness to appear on the schedule.

The program or project:

• is worth more than $5 million
• has a greater than 3-year duration
• carries significant risk
• engenders public interest
• is funded by the Commonwealth Government (e.g. National Partnerships)
• is a departmental priority
• is a current or previous election commitment.

The schedule identifies the type, scope and timing of each evaluation.
