Accountable officers
Each evaluation's accountable officer has a pivotal role to play through out an evaluation.
The accountable officer for an evaluation is responsible for:
- approving the scope and design of the evaluation
- ensuring that adequate resources are available to support the project or program's evaluation
- reviewing and approving the evaluation's proposal, plan, progress and final reports
- regularly liaising with, or is a member of, the Evaluation Governance Group
- obtaining approval of the evaluation report by the Evaluation Steering Committee
- obtaining final approval of the evaluation report by the Director-General and/or Minister
- communicating the outcomes of the evaluation to stakeholders in compliance with Right to Information and Privacy Legislation
- actioning the recommendations where appropriate.
