The department provides professional development opportunities to participants to build their skills and understanding of evaluation. These activities are hosted by Evaluation Services for departmental staff and others.
Evaluation training workshops are designed to provide participants with the tools to effectively evaluate their project or program's intent and outcomes. These two-day workshops are especially valuable for an evaluation team prior to starting their own evaluation project. Workshop places are limited and are advertised to all staff via web bulletin board announcements and flyers.
Feedback data collected from participants at professional development workshops and discussion forums is analysed and used to inform further professional development activities and specialised topics for discussion.
