Service Delivery Statements - Budget Paper 5 (SDS) provides the agency's budget outcomes and performance targets for the new financial year, with an overview of recent achievements for the last two to three years. It is complemented by the agency's Annual Report, which documents actual performance for the financial year just completed.
The SDS is a primary source of information for the hearings of the Parliamentary Estimates Committees, which examine the funding provided to each Ministerial Portfolio in the State Budget. The SDS is also used by Members of Parliament, media, the public and other interested parties to obtain information on the outcomes, key strategies and financial performance of Queensland Government agencies. The department prepares the SDS in consultation with Treasury, in accordance with prescribed standards.
