The Office for Early Childhood Education and Care

The Queensland Government is committed to giving children around the state with the flying start to life they deserve.

That's why the Government is undertaking the largest investment in kindergarten in the state's history, including the establishment of up to 240 extra kindergarten services in areas where they are needed most.

Through the Queensland Government's lead agency, the Office for Early Childhood Education and Care, funding will also be provided to long day care services to deliver kindy and make accessing a kindergarten program that much easier for working parents.

Through the establishment of early years infrastructure around the state, the Office is working hard to provide Queensland children with access to a range of quality early childhood services.

The Office will also continue to monitor the quality of early childhood education and care throughout Queensland with regular onsite assessments conducted by our authorised officers.
