Reading Ambassadors

High profile Queenslanders are joining with the Department of Education and Training to encourage parents and carers to read to their children.

Research shows that reading to children at a young age, from 0-6 years old, can improve wellbeing, imagination, school readiness and learning outcomes.

As more ambassadors come onboard, they will be added to this site. Current Queensland Reading Ambassadors include:

Football ambassadors will each feature in a 15 second community announcement played when their team has a home game.
