I-DREAM

The Indigenous Schooling Support Unit - Central Southern Queensland recently launched the I DREAM Challenge. This will support 400 students across five regions (South East, North Coast, Metropolitan, Darling Downs South West and Central Queensland regions) in an innovative and aspirational challenge based competition.

I DREAM challenges will build students' capacity to achieve their dreams, through working in teams to develop skills such as resilience, persistence, creativity, confidence, goal setting and team building while solving problems. The project also aims to build stronger partnerships between schools and the community as well as nurturing high expectations for the students.

The I DREAM challenge will involve monthly problem solving projects that students and a facilitator undertake as a team as they compete against other teams around the state. Students will also have a personal digital portfolio that focuses on cultural identity, goal setting and dream creation.
