QUT YuMi Deadly Maths PD Program

The Department of Education and Training has signed an agreement with the QUT YuMi Deadly Centre to provide mathematics professional development (PD) for schools in Central and South Queensland.

The aim of this program is to enhance the mathematics teaching capacity of schools in accordance with Closing the Gap strategies and with a focus on improving numeracy outcomes for NAPLAN assessments.

The YuMi Deadly PD Program will be a train-the-trainer activity designed to prepare principals. teachers and teacher aides from schools to be able to train other teachers and teacher aides in mathematics teaching strategies.
