Learning@hand will showcase the mobile learning (mLearning) and hand held technology that is empowering teachers and students to improve learning outcomes.
The exciting professional development opportunity will feature:
- International keynote speaker, Wayan Vota, who has extensive experience in delivering innovative ICT solutions in developing countries
- leading mLearning and Indigenous educational speakers, including a web conference with Dr Chris Sarra
- Oscar s Sketchbook replicas as well as an address from local Elder Uncle Ernie Grant
- professional development in how to use mobile and hand held devices to best harness mLearning
- stories from schools using best practice in mLearning
- networking and relationship-building opportunities.
Please bring any mLearning devices you already use in the classroom to Learning@hand. There will also be a limited number of iPads for loan during the event.
A key focus of this event will be the use of mLearning devices to better engage and support improvements in the learning outcomes of Indigenous students.

Learning@hand is a cross sectorial event for school leaders, teachers, Indigenous Education Workers and teacher aides. Those with an interest in mobile learning and Indigenous education and the education of students with special needs are also encouraged to attend.
