NARIS Leaders' Conference - Excellence in our remote schools

National Alliance for Remote Indigenous Schools (NARIS) - A new approach

To progress the NARIS initiative, Queensland hosted a Leaders' Conference held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 20 to 21 June 2011. The conference was a one and a half day conference and a dinner on Monday evening to facilitate networking opportunities. The conference targeted leaders in Indigenous education who are able to leverage their connections to generate advocacy for improved conditions and benefits for teachers and principals in remote Indigenous schools.

Learn Earn Legend Indigenous Education Forum

Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, 13 - 15 September 2010

The Commonwealth and Queensland Government jointly planned a forum to bring together a range of key stakeholders to take forward the closing the gap agenda for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students of Queensland.
