These changes are detailed in the National Quality Framework - Key changes for Queensland Adobe PDF document fact sheet.

There are no changes to the qualification requirements for educators working in outside school hours care services.

From 2012, a new national qualifications list will be developed by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) to reflect the new qualification requirements being introduced. Transitional arrangements are being sought for those people currently employed in an early childhood service or studying towards a qualification.

Registered primary qualified school teachers who wish to transition to employment within the early childhood sector are able to complete the Early Childhood Teacher Bridging Program to ensure they meet the current requirements for employment in the sector.

People already working in the early childhood sector and holding an Advanced Diploma in Children's Services can apply for an Early Childhood Teacher Scholarship to assist them to upgrade their qualifications.
