Queensland needs more kindergarten teachers

Kindergarten programs can be delivered in a range of settings including kindergarten and long day care services.

There is big demand for kindergarten teachers in Queensland now and into the foreseeable future.

Working in early childhood education is a rewarding profession and makes a difference in the lives of our little learners.

Teach kindergarten in a:

Long day care service

Find long day care services delivering an approved kindergarten program in your area.

Teachers can contact a long day care service directly or use web and print-based careers sections to find a position. Teaching positions are also listed on the Kindergarten Advisory and Support Service Job Board External Link.

Kindergarten service

All Queensland kindergarten services are required to be a member of one of five central governing bodies, which may be able to assist jobseekers.
