Early Childhood Teacher Scholarships

Scholarships for Advanced Diploma holders

This initiative allows eligible long day care or kindergarten educators holding an Advanced Diploma to upgrade their qualification to become a qualified early childhood teacher, teach an approved kindergarten program and gain teacher recognition with the Queensland College of Teachers External Link.

Eligible early childhood educators need to complete 15 units of study, to be completed over 4 years of part-time study through this scholarship.

Scholarships for three year degree holders

This initiative allows eligible long day care or kindergarten educators to upgrade their three year university degree to become a qualified early childhood teacher, teach an approved kindergarten program and be eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers External Link.

Eligible early childhood staff only need 2 years part-time university study to upgrade their qualifications through this scholarship.
