Quality Reforms

Early Childhood Development is a key focus for all Australian Governments with significant reforms occurring at the national and state levels.

Governments are committed to long-term, substantial reform in the early childhood development sector to provide families with high-quality, accessible and affordable integrated services.

The state and national reforms will result in important changes to early childhood education and care in Queensland that will ensure children get the best possible start. Under the Toward Q2 External Link strategy, the Queensland Government has set the target that all children will have access to a quality early childhood education, so they are ready for school.

Importantly the quality reforms will also help providers to improve their services in the areas that impact on a child's learning and development and empower families to make informed choices about which service is best for their child.
