

The licensee of a service licensed and regulated under the Child Care Act 2002 (the Act) and the Child Care Regulation 2003 (the Regulation) must ensure their service complies with minimum quality standards. Different requirements apply to services captured within the National Quality Framework.
These standards, contained in the Act and the Regulations, include:
Licensing standards and approvals for services captured under the National Quality Framework, including long day care, family day care, outside school hours care, pre-Prep and kindergarten services, are administered through the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010
and the Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011
. Licensing standards contained in the Child Care Act 2002 or Child Care Regulations 2003 no longer apply to these services.
