The Legislative and National Implementation Reform Committee provides guidance and advice in the development of potential legislative amendments and policy directions under state and national reforms, including the kindergarten program.
Members of the Legislative and National Reform Committee:
The Queensland Early Years Parent Round Table provides advice on issues concerning or related to early childhood development and how they affect parents.
The Early Childhood Education and Care sector meetings provide opportunities for stakeholders from key sector groups to collaborate and discuss issues, trends and practices relevant to the sector and the application of the Child Care Act 2002 and Child Care Regulation 2003. Through these meetings the Department aims to improve regulatory services, support quality in the sector and provide advice to Government and the Minister relating to operational and regulatory issues affecting the sector.
Representatives (or their nominees) from key segments of the sector including peak organisations participate in the meetings.
The CFC Implementation Reference Group (IRG) provides advice to inform the implementation of element one of the Indigenous Early Childhood Development National Partnership (IECD NP) and provides general advice on increasing participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in approved kindergarten programs across Queensland.
The CFC IRG has an ongoing role in the development and delivery of the CFCs within the timeframe of the IECD NP.
