Kindergarten services can apply for funding under the Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme (QKFS) to offset the cost of providing an approved kindergarten program.
The Queensland Kindergarten Funding Scheme: Funding Requirements outline how to become an approved kindergarten program provider, subsidies available, how to claim and ongoing funding requirements.
You need to lodge your application to become an approved kindergarten program provider via QGrants, a whole-of-government grants management system.
You can apply for approval as a kindergarten program provider at any time of the year. Under the rolling funding program, you may be entitled to have your funding backdated to the beginning of the semester in which you submit your application.
You can also apply before securing an appropriately qualified kindergarten teacher.
