Delayed entry and exit

Some children may benefit from starting a kindergarten program at a later age or completing a second year.

As a parent it is your decision whether to delay your child's entry to or exit from an approved kindergarten program.

Delayed entry is when a child, who is older than 4 by 30 June in the year they participate in a kindergarten program, is approved for enrolment.

Delayed exit is when a child is approved to participate in a kindergarten program for a second year.
