Early Childhood Education and Care Services Census

The Queensland Early Childhood Education and Care Services Census is an annual data collection from the early childhood education and care sector.

The census participants include all Queensland Government approved/licensed early childhood education and care services, including family day care and school aged care, as well as state and non-state schools that provide pre-preparatory (pre-Prep) programs in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

The Census is a valuable source of information about the early childhood education and care sector in Queensland. The department uses the information to inform planning, program development and to meet government reporting requirements.

Fact Sheets - Fact sheets provide overview snapshot of previous year's Census data collections.

Open Data - Data sets from the Census are also available on the Queensland Government Open Data website.
