

Research shows that reading to children from an early age creates a safe and stimulating environment that fosters language, thinking and literacy development - both at home and in the classroom.
Parents and families are a child's first teachers and this campaign will provide parents with tips on how to help their children acquire these crucial skills and instil in them a life-long love of reading.

School-age appropriate book lists are also available to help you provide your school-age child with a selection of books that they will find interesting and stimulating.
The Reading to Children campaign is an initiative of the Queensland Government and is one way to help improve early childhood outcomes for children.
