Support services for Queensland families

To have a flying start to life, children require the support of their parents, families and communities.

Parenting is an important, demanding and rewarding role and helping families to raise their children needs the support of the whole community.

The Queensland Government funds a range of services that support Queensland children and their families during their early years.

These services are designed to meet the specific needs of children and families within their local communities.

The Queensland Government early years grants program is aligned with the aims and objectives of several key Government documents, including:

Information on the full range of support available to parents and families can be found in the Early Childhood Services Fast Finder Adobe PDF document 92k. This provides Queensland parents and families with a directory of resources and services that support a child's development. The fast finder includes assistance in the form of fact sheets, helplines, programs and advice provided by the Queensland Government, Australian Government and sector organisations.
