Transition to school: newsletters

Schools play a vital role in their community in fostering and strengthening relationships that are responsive to their unique context and families. The establishment of these relationships is a core component of the department's statewide approach to supporting successful transitions to school.

Supporting successful transition newsletters are published and distributed to state schools, to support planning and implementing strategies aligned to the Supporting successful transitions: School decision-making tool. Each edition focuses on one of the five action areas of the School decision-making tool.

The resources included in each newsletter edition complement other statewide materials and school-specific transition documents available to download.
