Directives

Directives detail mandatory principles that Queensland Government departments are to adhere to.

Directives are issued under sections 53 and 54 of the Public Service Act 2008

• The Office of the Public Service Commissioner issues a small number of Directives usually applicable to senior officers and senior executives.
• The Minister for Education and Industrial Relations issues the remaining Directives regarding remuneration and employment conditions for all other public service employees.
